Bright Bees Daycare & OSC is a non-profit early learning and childcare program built on a shared passion for children, families, and community. Founded through a sister collaboration between Jen Alberto and Faye Anne Vradenburgh, Bright Bees began as a small, nurturing day home and has proudly grown into a licensed facility-based center to serve a wide range of families in the community.
Our journey began with a simple vision — to create a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive. Today, that vision continues to inspire everything we do. As a non-profit organization, our focus remains on quality care, education, and community support, not profit. Every decision we make is guided by our commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, supporting family needs, and enriching each child’s early learning experience. At Bright Bees, we believe that every child deserves a place to grow with curiosity, creativity, and confidence — and we are honored to be part of that journey.

At Bright Bees, we provide a warm, nurturing, and safe environment designed specifically for our youngest learners — babies under 12 months old. Our dedicated infant room offers a peaceful space where your little one can grow, explore, and thrive under the gentle care of experienced educators.
A Space Designed for Safety and Comfort
Your baby’s safety is our highest priority. The infant area is completely separate from spaces used by older children, ensuring a calm atmosphere free from the hustle and bustle of active toddlers and preschoolers. Every surface, toy, and piece of equipment is selected with infant safety in mind — soft flooring, age-appropriate toys, and secure sleep spaces that meet all safety standards.
Nurturing Daily Routines
We understand that each baby has their own rhythm. Our educators follow your child’s individual routine for feeding, napping, and playtime, providing a smooth transition from home to care. Families are encouraged to share preferences, schedules, and comfort needs so that your baby receives truly personalized care.
Gentle Learning Through Play
Even the smallest babies are curious explorers! Our infant program focuses on sensory-rich activities that support early development and bonding:
Tummy time to build strength and coordination
Soft music and soothing sounds to encourage calm and focus
Sensory play with safe textures, lights, and colors
Storytime and gentle conversation to foster early language awareness
Outdoor time (weather permitting) in a shaded, secure area designed just for infants

At Bright Bees, our Preschool Program is designed to provide a rich, supportive, and stimulating environment that prepares children for their next step in learning. Through a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, we offer a child-centered, hands-on curriculum that encourages exploration, creativity, and independent thinking. Our goal is to nurture children’s growth in all areas—social, emotional, cognitive, and physical—while giving them the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Reggio-Inspired Curriculum for Preschoolers
The Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum focuses on the belief that children are capable, competent, and curious learners. In our preschool program, children are encouraged to explore and engage with the world around them through play, inquiry, and discovery. Teachers serve as facilitators, offering a variety of open-ended activities and materials that invite exploration and foster creativity. Children are guided to think critically, solve problems, and express themselves through multiple “languages” such as art, music, movement, and verbal expression.
We believe that learning should be child-driven, so our curriculum is responsive to the interests and needs of each child. Whether through collaborative projects, individual exploration, or group discussions, preschoolers have the opportunity to make choices, ask questions, and discover answers in a supportive and stimulating environment.
Supporting Growth & School Readiness
Our preschool program is designed to support the overall growth of each child while preparing them for school. In addition to fostering independence, we focus on building the foundational skills children will need for a smooth transition into kindergarten and beyond.
Key areas of development include:
Cognitive Development: Activities that promote problem-solving, critical thinking, early literacy and numeracy skills. Children are introduced to concepts such as letter recognition, early math, shapes, and patterns through fun, hands-on activities.
Social Development: Emphasizing the importance of cooperation, communication, and conflict resolution, we encourage children to work together, share ideas, and engage in group projects. Our program supports the development of positive relationships, emotional regulation, and empathy.
Fine and Gross Motor Skills Development
Both fine motor and gross motor skills are critical to a child’s physical and cognitive development, and our preschool program provides ample opportunities for children to strengthen these abilities:
Fine Motor Skills: Through activities like drawing, cutting with scissors, building with small blocks, stringing beads, and manipulating clay, children strengthen their hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and hand strength. These activities also enhance their ability to perform tasks like writing, buttoning clothes, and using utensils.
Gross Motor Skills: We encourage large muscle movement and physical activity through outdoor play, obstacle courses, dancing, climbing, and games that improve balance, coordination, and strength. These activities help children develop control over their bodies and are essential for overall physical health.
Arts and Creative Expression
At Bright Bees, we value creative expression as a fundamental part of child development. Our preschool program includes a variety of arts-based activities—from painting and sculpture to music and drama—giving children opportunities to express themselves and develop their creativity. Through these activities, children not only enhance their fine motor skills, but they also learn to communicate their thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a non-verbal way. Art also fosters problem-solving and innovation, allowing children to experiment with new materials, techniques, and ideas.
Hot Lunch Provided
Nutrition is key to a child’s growth and well-being. That’s why we offer a hot, nutritious lunch each day, carefully prepared with fresh ingredients to fuel your child’s energy and support their development. Our balanced meals provide the essential nutrients children need to stay focused, healthy, and ready to learn throughout the day.
A Safe, Stimulating Environment
Our preschool classrooms are designed to be spacious, safe, and filled with stimulating resources that encourage exploration and active learning. The open layout allows children to engage in self-directed play, while also offering the opportunity to collaborate with their peers. With a wide variety of learning centers, from science and math to dramatic play and literacy, our environment supports children’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
Preparing for School & Beyond
At Bright Bees, we understand that preschool is a crucial time for building the skills that will support a successful transition into elementary school. Our program emphasizes school readiness by fostering:
Language and Literacy: Early reading and writing skills, storytelling, and vocabulary development through books, songs, and interactive discussions.
Early Math Concepts: Counting, sorting, classifying, and recognizing patterns and shapes, laying the groundwork for more advanced mathematical understanding.
Social Skills: Developing the ability to share, take turns, follow directions, and work collaboratively with peers and adults.
Through these experiences, children develop the confidence, social skills, and academic foundation they need to excel in school and in life.

At Bright Bees, we are committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating environment where toddlers can thrive. With our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, we support each child’s curiosity and growth through an open-concept space that allows them to explore and engage in activities based on their individual interests and developmental needs. We prioritize the development of the whole child—physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively—creating a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Tailored Programs for Development
We believe that every child learns and develops at their own pace. That’s why we create programs that are thoughtfully designed to support the unique developmental needs of each toddler. Our activities are carefully crafted to promote social skills, language development, emotional growth, and cognitive abilities. By offering a mix of structured and free-choice activities, we ensure that each child has the opportunity to engage in experiences that align with their developmental stage.
Fostering Fine and Gross Motor Skills
Supporting the development of both fine and gross motor skills is an integral part of our toddler program. Through a variety of hands-on activities, we help toddlers build their physical abilities and coordination:
Fine Motor Skills: Activities like building with small blocks, drawing, painting, threading beads, and using scissors or utensils help strengthen hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity. These activities also promote independence as children practice self-care skills like feeding themselves and dressing.
Gross Motor Skills: We also focus on large motor development, providing toddlers with opportunities to run, jump, climb, and balance. Whether it's through outdoor play, dancing, or simple physical games, we help toddlers develop their strength, coordination, and body awareness, supporting their ability to engage in more complex movements as they grow.
Exploration and Discovery
Our spacious toddler area is designed to encourage children to explore and make choices based on their interests. With a wide range of learning centers and activities—ranging from sensory play and art to building and pretend play—children can follow their natural curiosity and develop their skills in a fun, hands-on environment. The open layout promotes free exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
Reggio-Inspired Curriculum
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our curriculum views children as active, capable learners who are deeply engaged in their own learning process. Our teachers act as facilitators, offering materials and opportunities that encourage open-ended exploration. By asking thoughtful questions and guiding children through problem-solving and critical thinking, we nurture their curiosity and help them express their ideas in meaningful ways.
Hot Lunch Provided
At Bright Bees, we provide a nutritious hot lunch each day, ensuring that every child has the energy they need to thrive throughout the day. Our meals are balanced and made with fresh, wholesome ingredients to support your child’s health and growth. We believe that proper nutrition is essential for cognitive and physical development, and our meal program is designed to nourish both body and mind.
A Safe and Stimulating Space
Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to be safe, spacious, and filled with resources that support both individual exploration and social interaction. The environment encourages children to engage with materials that foster both fine and gross motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving. Whether it’s building a tower with blocks, running through an obstacle course, or creating art, every activity is designed to challenge and develop key physical and cognitive skills.
At Bright Bees, we are dedicated to providing a well-rounded experience that supports the holistic development of each child. Through a blend of intentional programming, hands-on play, and a focus on both fine and gross motor skills, we help toddlers develop confidence, independence, and a deep love of learning.

Our Out of School Care program offers a dynamic and engaging environment designed specifically for children ages 5 to 12. We provide a safe, welcoming space where children can unwind, explore, and continue learning through play after their school day.
Our open-concept layout encourages social interaction and collaboration, helping children build confidence and strong interpersonal skills. Children are free to choose activities based on their interests, fostering independence, creativity, and self-expression.
